2018 Collaborative Study for CRM65 Update of Repeatability and Reproducibility

CSM Technical Report

May 2019 Ref. CSM-121-0-CTR

The CORESTA Recommended Methods (CRM) Nos 64 and 65 were revised in January 2018. The purpose of this collaborative study was to provide updated nicotine free dry particulate matter (NFDPM) repeatability (r) and reproducibility (R) data for CRM 65 that would support the new sampling plan of one or two test pieces per result instead of the current eight test pieces per result.

These results support revising the sampling plan and repeatability and reproducibility tables of CRM 65. The data can also be used to update the r&R tables from CRM 66 (nicotine determination), CRM 67 (water determination), and CRM 68 (carbon monoxide determination).
