Sore shin disease affects tobacco fields located in northwestern Iran. This study consisted of disinfecting superficially infected areas and culturing fragments of soil upon DA and WA media. Then Petri boxes were stored for 7 days in the dark at 25C. Martin's & al. (1984) and Robert's (1986) methods were used to study anastomosis groups. Results showed that all the strains belong to anastomosis group AG1.
