The residues of seven sulfur-containing organophosphorus pesticides, including diazinon, parathion-methyl, chlorpyriphos, fenitrothion, malathion, ethylparathion and fenthion, in 239 domestic and 49 imported tobacco leaf samples and 12 imported cigarette samples were determined by GC/FPD. The results showed that: 1) in domestic tobacco leaf samples, the detection rates of fenitrothion, malathion, ethylparathion or fenthion were from 0.8% to 2.9%, no diazinon, parathion-methyl or chlorpyriphos was detected; and 2) in imported tobacco leaf and cigarette samples, none of the 7 pesticides was detected.
