Distribution of crystal organic fertilizer, urea and compound fertilizer-N was researched by 15N-trace in tobacco plants under pot culture conditions. The results show that crystal organic fertilizer can increase the yield of tobacco leaf by 23.1% and 14.6% based on urea and compound fertilizer treatments and the compound fertilizer can increase the yield by 8.5% compared with the urea treatment. As to the amounts of total nitrogen in the tobacco plant, the crystal organic fertilizer amounts were 138.6% and 145.7% based on the compound fertilizer and urea treatments, respectively. As to the amounts of nitrogen from the fertilizer, crystal organic fertilizer treatment was more than 25.1% of the amount of compound fertilizer and more than 27.9% of the amount of urea treatment. The variation of nitrogen from the soil of different treatments was very noticeable. The amount of nitrogen from the soil of the crystal organic fertilizer treatment was 47.4% more than that of the compound fertilizer treatment and 58.3% more than that of urea treatment. The nitrogen utilization ratio of crystal organic fertilizer treatment was higher by 9.4 percentage points than that of compound fertilizer, and 10.1 percentage points higher than that of the urea treatment. These results suggest that a high fertilizer utilization ratio and a high nitrogen releasing ratio of the soil are the reasons why the application of the crystal organic fertilizer could increase the yield and value of tobacco.
