To explore effect of fresh leaves classification on the leaf quality, fresh tobacco leaves are divided into three groups according to maturity: immature leaf, mature leaf and overripe leaf, different groups of fresh tobacco leaves were cured respectively by three curing technique according to the quality difference. The results showed that the proportion of mature, ripe and overripe was 30.58%, 44.17% and 25.25% respectively; Compared with non-classified curing, above-average tobacco percentage of the mature group increased by 22.7 percentage points, the ripe group is almost equal, the overripe group increased by 8.22 percentage points. (Reprinted with permission)
