The effects of different organic fertilizer application on tobacco plant growth, yield, output value, and aromatic substance contents in tobacco leaves were studied for 3 consecutive years in tobacco-rice rotation fields of purple soil at fixed locations in Nanxiong. The results showed that comparing with conventional organic fertilizer, the leaf area, contents of total sugar, reducing sugar and total aromatic substances in upper leaves were increased, the contents of total nitrogen and nicotine were decreased, and the leaf quality was improved to a certain degree by applying green manure + peanut cake, tobacco specialty bio-organic fertilizer. Taking all the results into account, tobacco specialty bio-organic fertilizer is better.
