The results showed that: 1) 70 volatile constituents were identified in the oil, the major constituents were β-bisabolene, n -hexadecanoic acid, (-)-spathulenol, 7, 10, 13-hexadecatrienal, δ- cadinene, 9, 12-octadecadienoic acid, 9, 12, 15-octadecatrienoic acid, β-cubebene and β-ionone; 2) the volatile oil could improve and modify aroma, enhance green note, and reduce irritation of cigarette smoke. The volatile oil could be applied as a cigarette flavoring.
