The sensory quality of Hubei flue-cured tobacco and its similarity with Zimbabwean flue-cured tobacco were analyzed. The results showed that: 1) Enshi tobacco offered better aroma quality, plentiful aroma quantity, less offensive odor, little irritancy and comfortable aftertaste, and it was the best one among the four major tobacco growing areas in Hubei Province; 2) the sensory quality indexes of tobaccos from different areas were estimated with weighted sum method, Enshi tobacco got the highest value, followed by Yichang and Xiangfan tobaccos, while the value of Shiyan tobacco was lower; 3) tobacco growing areas in the order of similarity degree of tobacco with Zimbabwean tobacco were Xuan’en > Xianfeng > Enshi > Baokang > Zigui > Xingshan > Nanzhang > Zhushan.
