Stabilizing technical parameters in cut tobacco drying with moisture content parallel shift method

In order to stabilize the technical parameters in cut tobacco drying, the moisture content in cut tobacco before and after drying was simultaneously adjusted with moisture content parallel shift method. The variation of running parameters of cut tobacco drier minimized by keeping the dehydration amount virtually unchanged during cut tobacco drying. Comparing with the method of regulating cylinder and hot air temperatures, when moisture content parallel shift method was used, 1) the standard deviation of moisture content in dried cut tobacco reduced by 21.4 %, Cpk increased by 47.2 %; the standard deviation of temperature of dried cut tobacco reduced by 33.1 %, Cpk increased by 35.7 %; the standard deviation of hot air temperature reduced by 30.0 %, Cpk increased by 43.9 %; the standard deviation of temperature of cylinder body reduced by 23.2 %, Cpk increased by 45.8 %. 2) The standard deviation of moisture content in cut tobacco after flavoring reduced by 26.4 %, Cpk increased by 49.1 %. 3) The total sensory quality score of cigarette increased by 0.27 points.
