No. 60 - Determination of 1,2-Propylene Glycol and Glycerol in Tobacco and Tobacco Products by Gas Chromatography

The Recommended Method is applicable to the determination of propylene glycol and glycerol in tobacco and tobacco products, including smokeless tobacco and cigarette filler.  The method is applicable to PG and GLY concentrations ranging at least from a mass fraction of 0,3 % to 5,0 %.
