No. 13 - Guidance for Sampling the Tobacco Leaf Supply Chain

July 2012

The main objective of this Guide is to develop a common approach to sampling tobacco at different stages in the supply chain, starting with seed and ending with the packed, processed material. Procedures currently in use and considered to be effective and practical are reported, as well as the statistical theory that should under-pin all sampling programmes.
