Inter-Laboratory Comparison Test Measuring Total NNAL in Human Urine

BMK Technical Report

November 2018 Ref. BMK-092-CTR

In an ongoing effort to fulfill the second objective of the Biomarkers Sub-Group, an inter-laboratory comparison study was performed to determine the comparability of results reported from participating laboratories when analyzing total NNAL in human urine clinical samples.

The results demonstrate that the assays employed provide consistent results within standard bioanalytical acceptance criteria when a single source of reference material is used for quantitation. However an increased bias was observed when the standard calibrators separately prepared at each laboratory were used to perform the quantitation.

This report provides the details of the comparison study and recommendations for future studies.
