Analysis of residues of famoxadone and fenamidone in tobacco
A method for fast testing the famoxadone and fenamidone residues in tobacco leaves with ultra-high performance liquid chromatography was developed by using acetonitrile as an extraction solvent. Twenty-two flue-cured tobacco samples were tested. The results showed that: 1) The recoveries of the method ranged from 90.6 % to 107.2 % with the RSDs below 7.0 % and the limit of detection of 0.006 to 0.009 μg·mL-1. 2) Famoxadone was not detected in all samples, and fenamidone was detectable in twenty samples with the detection rate of 91 %, the level of residue ranged from 0.20 to 0.56 μg·g-1, which was lower than the international Maximum Residue Limits (MRL). The method is suitable to the rapid analysis of famoxadone and fenamidone in batches of tobacco samples.
