The solar air heating system is installed on the roof of the tobacco-curing barn. In the solar heating system, the latest type of internal vacuum collector tube is used as the main collector, the components is connected through joint-box. The heated air is vented in ventilation system of the barn through insulation pipe by the blower. A valve is set up on each barn, through controlling the valve; you can connect a box or multi-box of hot air with the barn ventilation system. Through ventilation system, the solar heated air was mixed with another hot air heated by coal combustion in the heating chamber. The mixed hot air is used for tobacco baking. The result of tobacco baking tests showed that, whether the hot air was up flow or down flow, the tobacco baking was successfully completed. At the same condition of tobacco baking quality, the effect of energy saving and emission reduction was very remarkable, the amount of coal saving can be more than 25%-40%. And the payback period is around two years for this kind of solar heating system. (Reprinted with permission)
