The changes of degradation products of carotenoids and cembranoids in B4F flue-cured tobacco during redrying were studied with orthogonal experimental design. The results showed that: 1) The content of dihydroactinidiolide was remarkably affected by the temperature in cooling section and vertical air velocity in drying section; megastigmatrienone and solanone were remarkably affected by the temperature and moisture content in cooling section, respectively; norsolanadione was remarkably affected by the moisture content and temperature in cooling section. 2) The contents of β-damascenone, β-damascone, β-ionone, isophorone and isophorone oxide did not change remarkably. 3) Redrying with the following parameters: moisture content in cooling section 13 %, temperature in cooling section 40 °C, vertical air velocity in drying section 0.7 m/s, would be helpful to the accumulation of degradation products of carotenoids and cembranoids, the improvement of tobacco quality and the decrease of tobacco waste and energy consumption.
