Classification and evaluation of appearance quality of flue-cured tobacco based on Eigenvector

In order to better evaluate the appearance quality of flue-cured tobacco, the Eigenvectors of flue-cured tobacco appearance quality were introduced and the classification method of appearance quality on the basis of the quantified evaluation system of flue-cured tobacco appearance quality was preliminarily established with index sum method. The appearance quality of cured cutters from 94 typical ecological areas grown in 2007 was classified and evaluated. The results showed that these leaves were mainly orange with better ripeness, open structure, better color and oil. Most leaves were moderate in body, though a few leaves slightly thinner. The results of appearance quality evaluation of these samples by the classification method could objectively represent the quality status of current cured tobacco leaves.
