In tobacco warehouses, it is of the highest importance to detect the presence of Lasioderma serricorne, in order to quickly set an appropriate insect control. This study analyses the data from warehouse trials carried out in 1986 with three cigarette beetle trap systems (a light trap and two with sex pheromone : original Serrico and Lasiotrap), in two differently infested tobacco warehouses. In the two places, the light trap and Lasiotrap were significantly more efficient than Serrico trap.
