It is time-consuming to take statistics of the moisture content in tobacco manually. Therefore, a statistical software for moisture content was designed with Visual Basic. Siemens WINCC (Windows Control Center) monitoring software and its data filing characteristics were analyzed, the filed data in WINCC were accessed via ADO (ActiveX Data Objects). The main interface, data connecting and coding in main interface programming were introduced in detail. The test results indicate that the designed software gives out the standard deviation of moisture content rapidly, accurately and automatically, its interface is clear, reasonable and friendly.
