The latest of investigations of the soils used for tobacco production in FYROM are presented in this paper. These soils are used for production of the Oriental tobacco varieties Prilep, Yaka and Dzebel. The soils are characterized by acid reaction and low content of organic matter, medium to well supply of total N, medium supply of phosphorus and rich of potassium. According to the criteria, all these soils are suitable for production of Oriental aromatic tobacco of the varieties Prilep, Yaka and Dzebel.
